About Me

Dr. Young received a Bachelor of Science in Academic Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She received a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Family Violence was earned at Long Island University‘s C.W. Post Campus in Brookville, New York. She has been in private practice in SE Tennessee for over 16 years. Dr. Young works with ages 5 to 100. Her specialty is working with victims of sexual and physical abuse. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Chattanooga Area Psychotherapy Association, Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, and Tennessee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. Her charitable activities include providing counseling for the homeless families participating in Family Promise of Bradley County, serving on the Advisory Board for the Family Resource Agency, and being active in activities at her church.
